Steamed Chicken Breast with Spice-Flavoured Cornmeal
Ingredients
- 5 g Salt
- 10 g Garlic; chopped
- 500 g Chicken breasts
- 10 ml Sesame oil
- 10 g Ginger; chopped
- 30 ml Light soya sauce
- 10 g Star anise powder
- 10 g Peppercorns; crushed
- 60 g Yellow cornmeal
- 2 Egg yolks
- 30 ml Rice wine
Instructions
- IN a bowl, mix cornmeal, egg yolks, star anise powder, crushed peppercorns and salt. Combine garlic, ginger, rice wine, soya sauce and sesame oil in a bowl. Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture for 30 minutes. Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the cornmeal mixture and arrange them on a steaming tray. Steam the chicken for 10 minutes or till done. Serve hot. NOTES : A healthy alternative - chicken coated with cornmeal and steamed
