Chicken: Southern Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken breasts boneless and skinless Sliced into about four pieces
- 125 grams Self raising flour
- 2 teaspoons Celery salt
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 teaspoons Black pepper
- 2 teaspoons Paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons Dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder More or less
- 2 teaspoons Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
- 1/2 pint milk
- 3 tablespoons sunflower oil
Instructions
- Set the oven to 180 Celsius or 356 Fahrenheit
- Cover the chicken with the milk whilst you make the dredge
- Mix all the dry ingredients together
- Coat each piece of chicken with the dredge
- Starting with the largest pieces of chicken brown each piece in batches in a frying pan until just brown and transfer to a roasting tray to cook through in the oven
