Chicken N Potato Paprika Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 - 4 lb frying chicken - cut into 8 pieces
  • 3 Tblspn butter
  • 1 Tblspn paprika
  • 2 tsp instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 med onion - cut into thin slices & separated into rings
  • 1 1/4 cups apple juice
  • 4 medium potatoes - peeled & cut up
  • 4 medium carrots - peeled & sliced 1/4“ thick
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tblspn all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tblspn fresh chives - chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter until sizzling
  2. Add chicken & cook over medium heat, turning occasionally, until browned - about 15 mins
  3. Sprinkle with all seasonings
  4. Top with onion
  5. Add apple juice
  6. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Cover & cook 15 mins
  8. Add potatoes & carrots
  9. Cover & continue cooking until the chicken is no longer pink & the potatoes are fork tender - about 25 - 35 mins
  10. In a smal bowl, stir together sour cream & chives.
  11. Push chicken & vegetables to one side of skillet & stir sour cream mixture into juices in skillet until well mixed.
  12. Carefully stir chicken & vegetables into sauce
  13. Continue cooking until thickened & heated through - about 2 - 3 mins
